MADELINE

Madeline Solomon, founder and director of The Music Garden, a nature-based music, movement and puppet programme for early years has been teaching across Europe, The States and Canada for over 20 years (NY, Montreal, Catskills, Albuquerque, London, France). She has also musically directed and choreographed shows here and abroad for over 20 years, notably the acclaimed Jewish Comedy Sketch show Tower of Bagel and The Solomon Sisters, a Yiddish Cabaret Duo. She has more recently began performing at Senior Centers in NYC. Madeline recently musically directed Welcome to Terezin at NYU. Highlights of her performing career have included singing and playing flute with octogenarean beatnick poet Michael Horowitz at The Royal Albert Hall, London, and being Hugh Laurie's musical consultant, Prague. She is currently touring Twice Upon a Time, her first musical puppet theatre show for children, based on children's literature, and is founder and director of Without Words, a dance therapy programme for infants and their carers (92nd St Y, NY). Madeline has an MA in Zoology from Oxford University and is studying Dance Therapy at the 92nd St Y.
